LANDOVER, MD - Three decades of experience is enough to catalyze a new era of company growth, and Giant Food is the latest to tap into such a well of expertise. The Ahold Delhaize banner has announced that experienced exec Diane Hicks will join the company as Senior Vice President of Operations, effective September 12, 2022.

Hicks has 30 years of experience working in retail across the Ahold Delhaize family of brands. In her role as SVP, she will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in the development and execution of Giant’s critical growth drivers, delivering exceptional store conditions, driving a true selling culture, and delivering an extraordinary associate and customer experience across the brand’s omnichannel operations, a press release stated.
From her expertise gained working for Ahold, Hicks has garnered an exceptional balance of experience across HR, operations, sales, and merchandising. She previously served as Vice President of Operations at Ahold Delhaize brand Stop & Shop, where she oversaw strategic leadership, operations, talent management, and overall profit and loss across the banner’s New York and Connecticut stores.
Before working with Stop & Shop, Hicks also gained expertise from her 12 years with Giant Food, during which she led various teams across merchandising and operations.
