Luciano Fiszman has been promoted to Procurement Manager at Gourmet Trading Company during the company’s Chilean blueberry season. The company has undergone internal restructuring following the unexpected passing of CEO and President, Chris Martin, replaced by Brian Miller.
An Argentina native, Fiszman will supervise the all South American asparagus endeavors as well as the company’s North and South American blueberry operations. His supervisor, Scott Husley, VP of Procurement, stated “Luciano is a dedicated member of our team. Since 2006, he has been a key part of creating our South American Blueberry program. He helped us become the first distributor to commercially import blueberries from Peru. We’re excited for him to manage procurement for out year-round South American Asparagus Program out of Peru and Ecuador.”
Before joining the Gourmet Trading Company family, Fiszman worked in academia, assisting a professor working to develop Argentinean Blueberries at an international and national level. Prior to his promotion, Fiszman has held the roles of Production Manager and South American Blueberry Procurement at the company.
