Grimmway Farms has chosen Conergy Projects Group to head its newest energy initiative to install five solar power projects. Conergy Projects Group was appointed by the carrot grower to install a 3.4 MW solar energy plant. Each installation will feature 4,760 Conergy PM 240 W solar modules and will be situated on three Grimmway carrot farms in in California.
In May, Conergy won the rights to install five 1.15 MW solar project at Grimmway production sites throughout the San Joaquin Valley. The first three sites are currently under construction, and the company expects these to be completed by the end of 2012. The second phase of installations will be announced at a future date.
