<p> As the snowstorm continues to pummel through the Northeast, hysteria erupted in grocery stores throughout the area and even in the south as shoppers crowded and plucked the shelves dry. For example, in Atlanta, shoppers wiped the stores clean of produce items and other necessaries, leaving nothing but corn and asparagus, according to CNN.
