<p> With the help of software development firm PHRQL (pronounced “freckle”), Hy-Vee is using <B>new technology</b> across 200 of its stores in eight states to help supermarket dietitians <B>monitor and guide shopper health</b>. Both companies have signed a long-term contract to enable the service in Hy-Vee stores.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> PHRQL’s Connect and Coach device allows dietitians in supermarkets to help shoppers develop healthy eating practices <B>to manage diabetes, heart disease, and other problems</b>, according to Pittsburgh Business Times.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> “Our dietitians will use this valuable tool to document and track one-on-one nutrition counseling sessions, group classes, and guide participants in achieving their overall health goals,” said Julie McMillin, Hy-Vee Director of Health and Wellness.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> PHRQL, which stands for Personal Health Recording for Quality of Life, was founded in 2011.
