<p>Farm workers and activists protesting outside a Wendy’s shareholder meeting in Manhattan Thursday, were joined by Kerry Kennedy to press the company to sign an agreement safeguarding working conditions for Florida tomato pickers.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><img src="https://cdn.andnowuknow.com/legacyWriterImages/tomato052813body1.jpg" alt="images 052813" /><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">McDonald’s, Burger King, and Taco Bell and other chains have already signed the pact with the Florida-based Coalition of Immokalee Workers. At the protest, the group was joined by advocates from New York City Fair Food, and Amnesty International USA, according to Newsday New York.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Kennedy currently heads the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Human Rights. She took an active role in the protests on Thursday, leading a chant of: "What do we want? Justice! When do we want it?
