CINCINNATI, OH - Growth and hiring continue to be on the menu for Kroger, this year. The Cincinnati-based retailer is hiring for 600 positions. The hiring will take place in the East and Middle Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, and North Alabama markets, according to local source WATE 6.
The planned hiring event will take place Tuesday, October 10, from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. at all of its stores in the identified regions. Interested applicants should go to jobs.kroger.com prior to visiting their local Kroger.
“We have a variety of part time positions and in some cases full time positions that we need to fill in every store across our division,” said Melissa Eads, Marketing and Public Relations Manager for the Nashville Division, in the report. “Positions are available in most every department including Front End, Deli, Meat, and Grocery. Some stores also have positions available in support of our on-line ordering service, Clicklist.”
As recently as May, the company held a massive nationwide hiring event for 10,000 new hires. Through the past eight years, Kroger stated that it has created over 86,000 new jobs–which does not count capital investment positions or those obtained from mergers. Last year alone, the retailer grew its numbers by over 12,000.
How will this move elevate the retailer in the competitive buyside sector? AndNowUKnow will continue to report.
