London Fruit Introduces New Value-Added Avocado and Lime Packaging, Cindy Swanberg Schwing Discusses Promotional Opportunities

PHARR, TX - Just in time for the holiday crunch, London Fruit is implementing a creative new approach to its tropical fruit sales program and introducing new clamshell packaged items in the avocado and lime category.
“The clamshells will deliver convenience, protection, stackability, and cost effectiveness, compared to bagged fruit,” said Jerry Garcia, VP of London Fruit, in a press release. “We believe this program will be a winner!”
According to that press release, London Fruit will begin the new clamshell line with 2 and 4-Pack avocados and 6 and 8-Pack limes, with additional products in mind to follow.
London Fruit’s new line of clamshells is expected to offer exceptional holiday merchandising opportunities and help retail customers drive sales of avocados and limes as the season progresses.
“The possibilities for cross-merchandising and featuring these items as complements in gift giving are endless!” Cindy Swanberg Schwing, Marketing/Business Development, said. “We’re very optimistic about packaging our products and hope customers will try some of these products during the holidays, for New Year’s and of course, Spring of 2019. It’s very versatile.”
London Fruit will have on hand samples of its new line to show interested customers at the upcoming New York Show on Wednesday, December 12, at the Jacob Javits Center in New York, NY, Booth #202.
