Mann Packing Company is replacing the familiar black vegetable platter tray with a more eco-friendly option. After conducting research on what consumers want from fresh item packaging, the company found 92 percent of shoppers would be satisfied with the removal of the black trays. The company says the new tray now has 38 percent less packaging and up to 50 percent less packaging than other trays on the market.
