SALINAS, CA - The 2019 CPMA Convention & Trade Show is just days away, with produce professionals of all stripes making their way to Montreal, Canada, to celebrate fresh produce, network with partners and prospective partners, and work to grow their business and the industry as a whole. One such company is The Nunes Company; the storied farming company famous for its iconic Foxy brand is taking to the City of Saints with new products, new initiatives, and more.

At CPMA, Foxy will focus discussions around its expansion of organic items

I spoke to Kevin Crossgrove, Organic Sales Manager, to learn more about The Nunes Company’s plans for CPMA.

“Our key message this year will be about our company’s producing power—the ability to cover our customers’ needs, especially in this current volatile market situation,” Kevin told me. “We are growing more units and products every year and look to provide Canadian customers with more volume and variety, both conventionally and organically."

Kevin noted that Canada is a veritable hotbed for organic produce consumption and The Nunes Company is growing to provide more and more produce throughout North America. And with a newly elected President in Tom M. Nunes (T5), a bright future is shaping up for this multi-generational farming force.

Foxy is bringing stability into a volatile market, increasing organic offerings, and bringing heat to this year's CPMA

“At CPMA, we will focus our discussions around our expansion of organic items in Yerington, Nevada, and the Boronda Villas housing facility in Salinas, CA,” added Kevin. “Plus, we will be discussing with our customers how we can better promote our conventional and organic lines to attract new business in Canada. We are a vertically integrated family-owned company that is ever evolving and constantly looking toward the future changes of our industry.”

CPMA Convention & Trade Show attendees can stop by booth 300 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, April 2-4 to learn more.

AndNowUKnow will continue to report on this and other dynamic companies in the fresh produce industry.
