<p><b>Pleasanton, Ca-</b> Safeway has announced that Barry Libenson has been hired as the company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. He will assume the position on July, 1.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">In his new role, Libenson will oversee the company’s information technology business functions, reporting to Executive Vice President Larree Renda.
