AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS - Source.ag, the provider of AI solutions for vegetable growers, introduces the Source API for Harvest. Following the successful launch of the Source API for Sensors, this latest API streamlines the communication of harvest data for seamless collaboration among growers, sales organizations, and cooperatives.
“The Source API for Harvest represents a major leap forward in collaboration across the horticultural value chain. Along with the Source API for Sensors, our offering streamlines collaboration for all parties across the end-to-end value chain through data—from sensor companies, climate computers, and labor registration systems to growers to co-ops and sales organizations,” says Adriaan van der Feltz, Group Product Manager at Source.ag.
The Source API for Harvest delivers real-time harvest expectations and registrations directly from Source.ag solutions, ensuring cooperatives and sales organizations always have the latest insights. Up-to-date information on the current and expected harvest helps the cooperatives optimize continuously, adjust to supply changes, and meet market demand for fresh produce with ultimately better financial results.
According to a press release, the Source API for Harvest works independently but integrates seamlessly with Source Cultivate to enhance yield forecast accuracy. When growers use Source Cultivate to update their yield forecasts, these enhanced updates are automatically accessible via the API. This ensures precise and efficient data sharing across platforms, benefiting growers, cooperatives, and sales organizations alike.
Developed in close partnership with leading growers, the Source API for Harvest reflects practical insights from the greenhouse, combined with Source.ag’s expertise in developing high-quality tech solutions. This collaboration ensures the API meets the real-world needs of modern horticulture.
“At Harvest House, we believe in the power of innovation to support our growers and chain partners. With the Source Harvest API we always have access to real-time harvest data, allowing us to respond more quickly and accurately to market demand. Digital access to forecast data enables us to further optimize our processes and at the same time continuously supply our customers with the highest quality fresh products,” says Marco Hanemaaijer, Chain Manager, Harvest House.
