Applicants are chosen based on their essay submissions, which are reviewed by members of the organization’s Scholarship Committee. This year’s essay prompt was a continuation of “The Unseen Heroes” theme, which spotlights the men and women who serve our industry by plowing fields, harvesting crops, sorting produce, loading trucks, stocking shelves, and prepping meals.
