WENATCHEE, WA - What’s better than Starr Ranch Growers’ adorable emoji® character packaging? Perhaps the fact that its emoji packaging is 100 percent recyclable! The company recently expanded its Emoji offerings to include a new pouch bag that is completely recyclable and earth friendly.
“At Starr Ranch Growers, we are passionate about using sustainable farming, shipping, and packaging practices that will keep our orchards plentiful for generations to come,” said Brett Reasor, CEO. “When HDPE recycling is done the right way, you can help keep non-biodegradable plastic waste out of landfills and help the environment.”
The new pouch is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic. According to a press release, the recycled HDPE plastic can be transformed into plumbing pipes, plastic ropes, toys, and a whole range of other useful products. The plastic also uses less energy to recycle, reducing the use of fossil fuels in the process.
“We are proud to care for our planet as carefully as we nurture our fruit,” Reasor added.
The 3-lb pouches will make their initial appearance with a club store retail customer and will then be made available to retailers nationwide.
