Stemilt Artisan Organics Peaches and Nectarines

Wed. August 29th, 2012

Welcome to What’s In Store...On this episode, we’re taking a closer look at Stemilt’s Artisan Organics peaches and nectarines.

Stemilt’s entire crop of peaches and nectarines is certified organic and grown primarily by the Douglas family from Pasco, Washington. They’ve been farming for four generations. Today, they rely on natural growing practices and a combination of warm, sunny days followed by cool nights, to produce peaches and nectarines with vibrant color and lots of sweetness.
The Douglases also grow modern varieties of both yellow-flesh and white-flesh peaches and nectarines in popular sizing.
To merchandise these organic fruits, Stemilt has a fun pop-up display bin available. The displays feature the Douglas family in order to tie the fruit back to the land, and highlight the unique locale that these organic fruits come from. A QR code on the bin allows shoppers to access healthy tips, recipes, and information about how the fruit is grown right from their mobile phone.
Artisan Organics peaches and nectarines are available now with promotable volumes from mid-August through September.
