WENATCHEE, WA - Stemilt Growers has added a new face to the team, welcoming Katie Harmon as Marketing Communications Coordinator.
Raised in Wenatchee, Harmon will remain there working out of the company’s headquarters, where she will contribute content to Stemilt’s various communication channels, according to a press release. This includes The Stem blog, as well as managing social media channels and tradeshows.
“Katie is going to be a fantastic addition to our team,” said Marketing Director Roger Pepperl. “Her passion for food and health and strong communication skills really stand out and will be key as we continue to market our world famous fruits, which include a growing number of proprietary varieties and branded products.”
A 2015 graduate of Washington State University, Harmon earned a BA in English with an emphasis on business writing. She said that she always had a passion for writing and public outreach, according to the company, and gained experience in copywriting, social media marketing, public outreach, and website and project management while interning for the Wenatchee World.
