<p>Tops Friendly Markets has acquired four Big M supermarkets in New York.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><img src="https://cdn.andnowuknow.com/legacyWriterImages/tops052413body.jpg" alt="IMAGES - MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND" /><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The company entered into an agreement with the Bonisteel family to purchase the four locations in Boonville, Watertown, Sandy Creek and Adams, NY. The move allows the company to expand its footprint in the areas of northern and central New York on the heels of its previous acquisition of three Big M supermarkets earlier this year, according to a release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">"We are excited about this growth opportunity for Tops, as we bring these new stores into the Tops family," said Frank Curci , Tops Markets' president and CEO. All 280 associates at the locations have been offered to continue their employment with Tops.
