SALINAS, CA – TransFresh’s popular, award-winning comic strip hero, Captain Tectrol, is coming back with a vengeance to foil his arch nemesis, Dr. Shrink.

Beginning March 11, Captain Tectrol will leap out of the comic strips once again to “save the day for fresh berries” as part of the company’s 2016 marketing campaign. The advertisements highlight Captain Tectrol’s superhuman abilities to protect fresh strawberries in transit and on-shelf against the evils of decay, as well as extend the storage clock for fresh blueberries, with the help of the company’s Tectrol® Modified Atmosphere Systems and Tectrol® Storage Solutions™, according to a press release.
