UNIVEG has recently acquired Empire World Trade, the well-respected and leading UK importer and distributor of top fruit. The acquisition aligns with UNIVEG’s continued strategic focus and development of the UK market place and provides an opportunity to offer an added dimension to its product portfolio, according to a press release.
With the Spalding, Lincolnshire-based EWT team on-board, UNIVEG sees this acquisition as an ideal channel to build a significant market share for the company’s production in top fruit.
Moving forward, the businesses will now be known as UNIVEG UK and will be managed by Alan Forrester and Mike Harpham, as Joint Managing Directors. David Pratt, as former Managing Director of EWT, will become a Director of UNIVEG UK.
