Wonderful® Pistachios Product Receives 2020 SnackNation Insights Award for 'Best Nut or Trail Mix'

LOS ANGELES, CA - What does it take to be an award-winning brand? It’s not a question that is easily answered, but according to recent news, Wonderful® Pistachios has cracked the code. The company recently announced that its No Shells Honey Roasted pistachios received the 2020 SnackNation Insights Award for “Best Nut or Trail Mix,” cementing its status as one of the industry’s leading brands.

Meeting all of SnackNation’s rigorous criteria, and earning a top ranking from overall product rating and purchase intent data in the “Best Nut or Trail Mix” category, this is the second straight year that a Wonderful Pistachios variety has been named one of the country’s most popular snacks. According to a press release, Wonderful Pistachios Roasted & Salted received the award in 2019.
Snacking is the new norm, with 94 percent of people saying they snack every day, and 47 percent saying they have three or more snacks a day. Containing six grams of plant protein per serving, Wonderful Pistachios No Shells are an easy-to-enjoy and no-mess snack because they don’t have shells.
Introduced in summer 2019 alongside Wonderful Pistachios No Shells Chili Roasted, the Honey Roasted variety is complemented by honey, sugar, and a pinch of salt for a sweet and savory snack. This award builds on the incredible momentum of Wonderful Pistachios No Shells, with flavored varietals representing one-fifth of the overall No Shells portfolio. Additionally, more than 40 percent of consumers purchasing No Shells flavors are new to the company’s portfolio.
