The company has announced it will launch its second annual Kiwifruit for Kids campaign on September 10, 2012. The campaign has selected the following children’s health charities to represent the U.S. in ZESPRI's childhood obesity awareness efforts: Treeswing, Chicago Run, I Can Foundation, Play Rugby USA, Louie’s Kids, and Live Well Colorado. Each charity aims to educate youth on how to live healthier, more active lifestyles.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The campaign, now available on Facebook and www.kiwifruitforkids.com, encourages users to earn points for the charity of their choice by answering health trivia questions, exercising for an hour or more per day, checking into participating supermarkets via Facebook, and more. The charity that accumulates the most points by the campaign's end on October 21st will receive $10,000 from ZESPRI; the second place winner receives $5,000, and the remaining four charities will be awarded $1500.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Margaux Rathbun, Kiwifruit for Kids spokesperson and Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, states, “We are delighted to be opening Kiwifruit for Kids 2012 with a bang.
