Ippolito International Heads to Organic Produce Summit With Organic Brussels Sprouts, Leafy Salad Blends, and More; Heather Fuller Shares

SALINAS, CA - The Organic Produce Summit (OPS) is nearing, and organic growth is top of mind for the industry. For retailers looking to enhance their organic lineups, Ippolito International wields a full line of organic leafy salad blends, as well as spinach, kale, collards, and Romaine-based salads.

“The Organic Produce Summit happens at the perfect time for us here in the Salinas Valley,” Heather Fuller, Vice President of Business Development, shares ahead of the event. “It’s a time when we are in the sweet spot of farming for most of our crops, with fields that are ready for exhibition! For many grower-shipper-processors, the summer can be one big ongoing customer showcase—and we happen to love this time of year for just that reason!”

For the Ippolito International team, OPS also presents an opportunity to connect face-to-face with industry partners and discuss the hurdles they are currently facing.

“OPS helps us create time with customers, whether it’s on a field tour or at the show floor,” Heather adds. “This show gives us the opportunity to talk about their challenges and glean opportunities. We learn a lot in these conversations.”

Alongside its lineup of organic leafy green offerings, Ippolito International will also be drawing attention to another organic standout.

“One of our most successful organic products is our organic Brussels sprouts,” Heather notes. “We developed this program a few years ago. It began as more of a seasonal program—yet year after year, it continues to grow both on the processing side as well as the bulk pack to a year-round program.”

In addition to its organic Brussels sprouts program, Ippolito offers seasonally grown organic asparagus.
