NEW YORK CITY, NY - Wonderful® Pistachios is turning up the crunch with the release of three new, laugh-out-loud advertising spots as part of its The Don’t Hold Back Snack™ campaign.
These additions to the evergreen creative series celebrate snacking without restraint—just in time to build consumer appetite for what could be a record-breaking California pistachio harvest this fall.
Created by Wonderful Agency and helmed by acclaimed director Harold Einstein, the latest commercials extend the campaign’s playful satire by showing people taking extreme measures to stop snacking until they discover a smarter, more satisfying option: Wonderful Pistachios.
The three new ads now live across cable, digital streaming, and social media platforms include:
Lilliputians (Watch here)
In this park-set comedy, a hungry snacker is tied down by tiny Lilliputians in an effort to curb her cravings. A friend on a nearby bench offers a better solution: Wonderful Pistachios. With renewed energy (and snack satisfaction), she easily breaks free, sending the tiny captors flying and reassuring her friend of their resilience.
Crocodile (Watch here)
In a shipping company breakroom, one man goes to extreme lengths to stop himself from snacking by hiding inside a crocodile. But when his coworker recommends Wonderful Pistachios, even he can’t resist reaching out through the crocodile’s sharp teeth for a guilt-free handful.
El Stachio (Watch here)
One office worker hires a professional wrestler to physically restrain him from snacking. But when his colleague suggests Wonderful Pistachios as a smarter alternative, a surprise rescue arrives in the form of a flying elbow from an unexpectedly heroic older coworker.
These spots round out The Don’t Hold Back Snack lineup, which also includes the previously released commercials Cement Hands and Bear Hug. With five commercials now in rotation, Wonderful Pistachios is driving momentum for pistachio consumption at a pivotal moment for the industry.
Wonderful Pistachios Lights Up Times Square with First-Ever 3D Billboard
As part of The Don’t Hold Back Snack’s expansive nine-market out-of-home blitz launched in June, the brand is taking the campaign to new heights with its first-ever 3D anamorphic billboard in Times Square, New York City.
Visible to thousands of daily passersby in one of the most trafficked intersections in the U.S., the digital billboard uses 3D anamorphic technology to create a hyper-realistic illusion of pistachios bursting from the screen, bringing the brand’s irreverent energy to life in a way consumers can’t ignore. It’s a first for Wonderful Pistachios, and one that’s already delivered big rewards.
The strategic investment to place ads in Times Square is already generating massive exposure for the brand. The 3D billboard recently appeared in the background of F1: The Movie, starring Brad Pitt, during its red carpet premiere in Times Square. The high-profile event put Wonderful Pistachios directly into the spotlight, with the billboard visible in the background of social media coverage from major outlets like GQ and the TODAY Show.
The Times Square execution is part of a larger out-of-home campaign spanning nine major U.S. markets—including Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Dallas-Fort Worth, Miami-Fort Lauderdale, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
MONTREAL, CA - Equifruit, North America’s market leader in Fairtrade-certified bananas, is stepping boldly into the Organic Produce Summit 2025 with an eye-opening message: the cost of upgrading to Fairtrade bananas for an entire year is less than that of a single sock.
At booth 808, Equifruit is inviting OPS attendees to learn how the “most expensive banana” is outrageously affordable. Visitors can expect an immersive experience that will rock their socks off.
Let’s break it down: switching to Equifruit bananas adds about $5 per year to your grocery bill. That works out as less than most single socks, let alone a pair, and yet it funds something far more fashionable: fair pay for banana farmers.
“We often get pushback about raising banana prices at retail,” says Kim Chackal, Co-owner and VP of Sales and Marketing at Equifruit, in a recent press release. “But by the end of the year, upgrading to Equifruit bananas costs less than a single sock. This might seem like an absurd comparison to make, but we want to shock retailers into realizing how affordable the switch to Equifruit bananas is.”
By choosing Equifruit bananas, retailers and consumers are supporting fair wages for banana farmers, as well as better working conditions and environmentally friendly farming practices. Through the Fairtrade Standard, Equifruit also pays $1 US in Fairtrade Premium for every case of bananas sold, which goes directly to farmers for them to invest in community projects, like better schools, medical care, clean water, and climate resilience projects.
OPS attendees are encouraged to stop by Equifruit’s mystery wall, snag a selfie, some swag, and start a conversation that’s long overdue in the produce industry: Why are bananas so cheap?

SANTA PAULA, CA - Calavo Growers, Inc., a global leader in fresh avocados, announced the introduction of distinctive new PLU stickers for its largest avocado sizes. These vibrant, oversized labels are designed to prominently feature Calavo's "Super Jumbo" avocados, enhancing their visibility and appeal on retail shelves.
The new labels measure 36mm x 26mm, a size specifically chosen to correspond with the larger fruit. Featuring a bright, eye-catching pink color, the stickers prominently display "Super Jumbo" at the top, making it easy for consumers to spot them. The stickers will be applied to Calavo avocados of 36 count or larger, carrying the 4770 PLU number.
This update comes as Calavo’s Peruvian imports from longtime partner Viru Group peak on 36’s & larger, while also anticipating a more typical size curve from its upcoming Mexican crop, with a greater abundance of 32 and 36 count fruit.
"Our largest avocados, the jumbos, are truly special," commented Gordon Breschini, VP of Fresh Sales for Calavo, in the recent press release. "We've designed this extra-large PLU sticker to highlight them on the shelf and draw consumer attention to their exceptional value."
Shoppers consistently seek out jumbo avocados for their generous portions, finding them to be the hit of the party with their ability to satisfy larger servings for sharing with family & friends. Beyond their impressive size, these avocados offer incredible versatility, perfect for shareable guacamole, smoothies, and of course, party-sized salads and burger platters, providing health benefits for the entire family.
Breschini added, "This presents a fantastic opportunity for retailers to enhance, not replace, their current avocado programs by incorporating jumbos. Offering consistent choices of both smaller fruit and jumbos empowers shoppers with options and solutions for healthy meals or party planning. Calavo is also equipped to work with our customers on customized ripening programs to ensure optimal value."
Calavo Avocados adorned with the new "Super Jumbo" PLU stickers began rolling out the first week of July and will continue to brighten produce departments wherever Calavo Jumbos are sold.
