WATSONVILLE, CA - Expanding its sales prowess, Monterey Mushrooms has announced a new leader will be joining its ranks in the form of Benjamin (Ben) Mossing. Stepping in as a Sales Manager, Mossing will oversee the sales of fresh retail and foodservice mushrooms in the Southwest region.
In his new position, Mossing will be responsible for the sales of the company’s mushrooms grown, packed, and shipped from its Madisonville, Texas, farm. As noted in a release, the facility produces some of Monterey Mushrooms’ conventional and organic Whites, Baby Bella, and Portabella mushroom varieties.
Prior to joining the mushroom purveyor, Mossing was Category Manager at Mid-States Distributing in Texas. In that role, he supported the farm and ranch retail channel in addition to the company’s private brands. Before that, he spent 15 years at Kroger Co. in positions including Produce Sales Manager, Produce Promotional Planner, and Produce Buyer.
Mossing earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Education from Bowling Green State University.
