LAKELAND, FL - Recent changes are taking form for Publixā€™s Board of Directors. During its annual meeting, the retailerā€™s stockholders elected Publix Chief Executive Officer Kevin Murphy to the board, while Howard Jenkins and Ed Crenshaw announced their retirement.

Todd Jones, Executive Chairman, Publix

ā€œIā€™m excited to have Kevin join the board,ā€ said Executive Chairman Todd Jones. ā€œHis in-depth knowledge of running best-in-class retail stores will be a valuable asset to the board.ā€

During the meeting, Jones highlighted the contributions of both Jenkins and Crenshaw and announced the Publix board had named each Chairman Emeritus, according to a press release.

ā€œOn behalf of Publix associates and stockholders, I thank Howard and Ed for their years of dedicated service and their role in the growth and success of Publix,ā€ said Jones. ā€œWe will continue to build on their efforts to move Publix forward while staying true to our founderā€™s philosophy to operate the best stores possible, where shopping and working would always be a pleasure.ā€

During its annual stockholders meeting, Publix elected Chief Executive Officer Kevin Murphy to the board, and Howard Jenkins and Ed Crenshaw have both retired

With a strong East Coast retail footprint, Publix continues to maintain an impressive market presence and continued brand loyalty from its network of shoppers.

How will the grocer continue to evolve both its team and operations? AndNowUKnow will surely be here to report.

FOWLER, CA - The spring season is getting a little bit more colorful with Bee Sweet Citrusā€™ Star Ruby Grapefruit, which will be playing a key role in its seasonal citrus lineup.

Monique Mueller, Director of Communications, Bee Sweet Citrus

ā€œStar Ruby Grapefruit is perfect for those who enjoy tangy citrus without the acidity,ā€ said Bee Sweet Citrus Director of Communications Monique Mueller. ā€œWith spring in full swing, thereā€™s truly no better time to try one out than now.ā€

The variety is known for its deep red color and sweet, tangy flavor. As detailed in a release, with few to no seeds, Star Ruby is less acidic than other varieties of grapefruit, which makes it an excellent complement to consumersā€™ snack or breakfast recipes.

A key player in the supplierā€™s spring citrus lineup, Bee Sweet Citrus Star Ruby Grapefruit is available in high-graphic packaging and bag and bulk options

Star Ruby Grapefruit has high water and fiber content, making it an excellent produce option for health-focused shoppers. That, coupled with its vitamin C content, makes for an incredibly nutritious yet versatile snack.

ā€œGrapefruit harvest in the desert (D3) is wrapping up, and weā€™ve recently begun harvest in the Central Valley (D1),ā€ stated Bee Sweet Citrus Director of Harvesting and Grower Relations Randy Stucky. ā€œWhile the crop estimate is down from last season, the quality of the fruit has been excellentā€”with good external blush and internal color.ā€

Bee Sweet Citrus grapefruit is available in high-graphic packaging and is available in bag and bulk options.

If you want to add this pop of color to your produce department, giving your shoppers something to snack on this spring, reach out to a Bee Sweet representative.
